Footprint
is a playing card game about sustainability.
Players try to minimize their ecological
footprint by collecting color coded
playing cards on four needs. Each
need is fulfilled by four components.
Each component has a point value.
The goal is to create four packs with
the lowest point value. As soon as
someone has collected four packs,
the game stops and everyone counts
up the points on their cards.
In general, the closer to home you are able to find the components to make the product, the lower your score, and the better off everyone will be. Products from chain stores, worth 10 points, take money and skills out of the community and so have the highest point value. Wild cards, worth 8 points, are next because they are convenient to use. Products from local stores, worth 6 points, help build community. Having neighbor help neighbor, worth 4 points, build skills and teach the importance of community. Products we make ourselves, worth 2 points, are important because of the satisfaction that comes from creating and the ability that gives us to help others. (ages 8 and up) $24.95 Local artists and local businesses helped produce this game. We thank you for supporting their efforts. BillPagum.com Products |
